Enable shooting without lens and focus peaking in your settings. Attach your adapter+lens (I got mine from K&F Concepts for the Pentax K Mount and use an assortment of SMC Pentax-M lenses) Switch autofocus mode to manual. Press the rear command dial to zoom to AF region. Manually focus until red peaking appears.
