- MELTDOWN -
"I formed my right hand to a fist and rubbed it against the bathroom mirror to see myself behind the thin layer of mist. Always the same thing. Every day. My hand slid over the loudly complaining glass pane, and I saw her again.
That girl.. woman, maybe you should say. Callous and blankly she stared back at me with tired eyes.
Her skin was pale and porcelain-like. I moved my focus from the sharp cheekbones toward the ghostly creature's eyes.
They were just as dull and lifeless as her hair - her whole figure. Tiredness mixed with despair forced her to blink.
I stared into her pupils that were framed by matte pink circles. They looked so sad. With a sigh, I tilted my head to the side. The woman's green hair followed my motion and unfurled like a curtain. I ran my thin fingers through my own hair, and the ghost in the mirror did the same. That was what I had become - a ghost. Forever the same thing. Every day."
