11 Dec 2016 My kids and I had the pleasure of receiving a Crayon Factory from Crayola to review and include in our holiday gift guide. It is for ages 8 and up and comes with 3 crayon molds, a crayon wrapper ripper, instructions, a crayon factory, a transformer and 8 crayons to get you started. I have a 4 and 6 year old so
3 Feb 2016 I helped Santa out, and split the difference with the purchase of the Crayola Melt 'N Mold Factory and the Crayola Motorized Crayon Carver. Once the mold is complete, the instructions suggest letting it stand for a further 10 minutes before use, but I found it was cool enough to use much sooner than that.
The instructions are very clear and there is minimal set up with the Crayola Crayon Factory. One of the most important parts of operating the system is removing all the paper from the crayons and not putting too much in. Peel the paper wrappers from the Crayola crayons you intend to melt. If they are full-sized, break them up into halves or quarters. Place around two crayons' worth of pieces in each half of the melt tray.The tray should be almost completely full. Only use Crayola crayons with the Crayon Maker.
