4 Oct 2012 Radial name tutorial. I first did this lesson as a 6th grader myself close to 20 years ago. I believe we did it in math class while talking about different types of symmetry. Here is the step by step tutorial on how to make symmetry name art with your class. Perfect for use with fourth grade, students use their names the basis for creating symmetrical designs.
Radiating Line - Symmetrical Name. This project is done the same as above. It makes a good substitute day lesson. Results always turn out well. Write name in bubble letters - then outline with radiating lines inside and outside each letter till making letters connect. Contrast with radiating lines in the negative space.
Name Monsters. Incorporates symmetry with an art activity. Love this idea.
