, that night passed and the morning came. Nick was up early as always, dressed, thou his long hair was messy, he then went in to him and took out new clothes then woke him up
- Master…m-merry Christmas… he smiles a bit, he sat up, smiles at nick
- Merry Christmas to you too…he said, nick then took out a small box from his pocket
- I got you a present… he said, reached it over
- Nick… i…he said, thou nick cut him off, gave him the box
- I saved for it for a long time… I hope you like it, he said, smiling, muraki looks at the box, nicely warped in, he looks at nick
- I didn’t get you any gift…he said, nicks happy smile disappeared, looks at him
- Oh…that’s ok… you…don’t have to get…me anything… I am in a house… I am getting…food…he said, went out, closed the door, he dries his eyes, then went out to the kitchen, started to clean in there, in the room was muraki opening the box, in there was a beautiful ring, he looks at it, he had been wanting this for a long time and it was rare, he looks at it, he felt awful, looking at it
- Nick… he said low, nick was cleaning the house, he was empting the open fire, drying his eyes, muraki came out after a while, he didn’t see nick, he was outside, sitting in the snow, had made a small puppy from the snow, sitting there, patting it, he looks at him through the window
- It is ok… maybe next year I will get a little puppy… one that is just like you… he said, patting the snow puppy, he sobs, he took out a collar. Took it around the neck
- There you go, puppy, I got you a present… I hope you like it… b-but be careful with it…it is a nice one so d-don’t ruin it…ok? He sobbed patted the puppy, he crawls up a bit, looking at the puppy.
- I will learn you tricks and I will feed you and I will warm you and I…he covered his face, crying a lot, muraki stood in the window, he was crying a lot. He sat out there for a very long time, muraki was in the cities pet shop, he was standing at the puppies, looking at them, he then picked one, he got it in a box with holes in it and a red ribbon around it, he took the wagon home again, found nick at the same place as before, sitting there, all crawled up, he went up to him
- Nick…he said, nick jumped, he dried his eyes
- M-master…nick said, he sat down next to him
- Nick, I am sorry… he said, then placed the box affront of him
- You…you got me…a gift? Nick asked, surprised
- Yes… I did, you gave me such beautiful gift… he said, gave him the box, he looks at it, then on his master
- W-what’s…in it? He asked
- Open it and take a look… he said, nick then took off the red ribbon, then opened the box, a small puppy looks up at him, waved its tail, nicks eyes widen and looks at his master
- I-it…is a…p-puppy…he said, looks back at the puppy, took the collar and took it on the puppy, it licks his hand, nick took it up and hugged it, then placed it down and hugged his master
- Thank you master…he said, snuggles his head to him, he looks at nick, smiles, laid his arms around him, hugs him back, nick smiles, the puppy looks at them, barked a bit, then snuggled up between them, they then stood up, went in, the puppy walks after them, that day they made gingerbread and other cookies, then they made some dinner and ate, cleaned it all and then nick took some milk and a plate with the gingerbreads, his master got some whisky, and some gingerbreads, they went out to the fireplace, nick’s master sits down in his chair, nick sat down by his feet, had his plate affront of himself, he plays with the puppy, a few hours passed, nick and the puppy had fallen asleep, “muraki" stood up, took nick up in his arms, took him to his own room, placed him down in the big bed, places the sheets over nick, undresses himself then lays down on the other edge of the bed, looks at him
- Sweet dreams, my pretty little boy…he whispered and closed his eyes, then fell asleep
