Ok, so some of us Honda guys are a little older now, had a few kids, and then the kids want to have friends over, etc. And we all don't fit in That got me thinking, why not do a manual swap in a mid-90s Odyssey? You could . 2006-2010 = 2.3L with 5 speed (mine), 2012+ = 2.5L with 6 speed. All drivetrain
8 Oct 2008 Tech / Misc - 5-speed Manualy shifted Odyssey - There's no Odyssey-specific forum, so I guess my ride ends up here, but that's cool with me. I've already built the suspension with a Tein spring/shock setup, upgraded the brakes, and I did a manual transmission conversion using a 97 Accord LX unit.
The question is simply: What is required to put an Accord (other?) manual transmission into a 99-04 Odyssey? I am primarily I'm not much help, but I'm in the middle of a 5-spd swap in a 1st gen. It's all been A bunch of Honda engineers swapped a TSX 6speed trans into an Odyssey for the One Lap.
18 May 2015 As evidence of this, I want to share with you guys a first generation Honda Odyssey that's been built more along the lines of an S2000 or an Integra than it is a family-hauling minivan. Perhaps best of all, the formerly automatic Odyssey – the only way they came – now has a manual gearbox conversion.

In any case, one of the several mods was replacing the transmission with a 6 speed manual from, I think, an Acura TL. If my transmission ever goes out again I will probably do this swap, been looking into it for a while.
7 Oct 2008 I have a 2002 Odyssey and the transmission is going out. I have always hated automatics, but I wanted an Odyssey, so at the time I had no choice. Now the idea of a 6sp manual is very intriguing, and I'm thinking worth the extra effort. I may also go ahead and stick the J32a2 head on my block as well if I can
