STYLE. PL-259-CP-G for RG-8X &. RG-58/AU Coax. 1. Cut the coax clean and flush. Slide cover ring, O-ring and larger coupling ring onto cable, threads facing connector. RG-58 only: place nylon adapter over end of coax. 2. Push coax into the connector. Be sure connector's center pin penetrates the center conductor. 3.
Step 1 Slide coupling ring onto cable. Cut end of cable even and strip jacket, braid and dielectric to dimensions shown in table . All cuts are to be sharp and square. Do not nick braid, dielectric or center conductor. Tin exposed center conductor and braid, avoiding excessive heat. Step 2 Screw the plug sub-assembly on
MOUNTING. The function of all antennas is to receive and send out signals to the radio. Your antenna needs to be mounted in a location that considers: SAFETY. The antenna needs to be mounted to allow for clear visibility for the driver of the vehicle. ELEVATION The antenna will always perform better when mounted on

Trim DooDad® Cable Strain Relief to fit cable, as illustrated. Slide. DooDad®, coupling ring, and reducing adapter onto the cable in the order.
PL-259-FSJ4-50B Installation Instructions. First: remove a 3/8? of the insulation jacket, and then cut the copper through the copper corrugation. For best results use a hack saw or a hobby saw. Then remove the copper corrugation. Second: from the start of the cable, remove 1/4 inch of the dielectric. Then clean off the center
K3LR method of installing a PL259 coax connector. I have hundreds of silver plated PL-259s in service at my station. They are all soldered the same way. It is different from what almost everyone else does. Good soldered shields are very important to me. I was never sure my shields were well soldered or maybe I had
30 Jan 2013 The following instruction depicts my preferred method of installing a PL-259 onto RG-58 coax using a UG-175 reducing adapter. I've seen other ways to do it, but I'm convinced this method works best. The procedure is identical for RG-8X. Larger coax such as RG-8 and RG-213 do not require an adapter.
Step 1. 5B1.gif, Run crimp ferrule over cable. Trim cable as shown. Avoid nicking the center conductor or outer braid (stray or loose braid may cause shorts). Step 2. 5B2.gif, Flair outer braid as shown. Step 3. 5B3.gif, Firmly push stripped assembly into connector body until 1/8" to 3/16" of center conductor protrudes from the
Instructions for Attaching an Amphenol (83-822) PL-259 connector - Teflon. Insulator, Silver Plated Center Pin to Belden (8214) RG-8 Coax (Figure 1). Shanon Lee Herron KA8SPW revised 2-1-1999. Step 1 - Figure 2. Make two cuts almost through the black insulation, one at 1" from the end and one 2" from the end.
