Procedure for Resetting the Combination. Before you can reset the combination, the lock must be open. If you can't open the lock, Master Locks recommends cutting off that one and buying another one.
A: Open the lock (preset at 0-0-0). Turn shackle counterclockwise 180 degree and press it down. You must hold the shackle down while performing the next step. Set the dials to your new combination. Lift and return the shackle to the closed position.

Category: "Set-Your-Own" Combination Locks Instructions. With dials at 0-0-0-0, pull out the shackle. Turn shackle 90 degree (1/4 turn) so notch on shackle is aligned with notch in lock body. Press and hold the shackle down. Set the dials to your own combination by lining up middle of numbers with red stripe.
