You can quite easily repair a broken window regulator on your BMW E46. Read on. The first window regulator failure on my wife's 2000 328i was covered under warranty. When it happened again, the warranty had run out, so I decided to see if I could fix it myself. It turned out to be the rear slider that pushes the window up
