2 Oct 2014 Opening the high side valve when the a/c compressor is running will damage the compressor. Watch the gauges, adding refrigerant only until the vehicle manufacturer's specifications have been reached. To stop adding refrigerant, close the manifold low-side valve. Turn the valve on the canister off.

Connect the RED HIGH side service hose to the A/C system's HIGH side service port. Connect the CENTER YELLOW charging hose to a vacuum pump. If using manual R134a couplers, after connecting the couplers to the A/C system, open the manual couplers by turning the knob on the top of the coupler clockwise until it stops.
