This introduction is a compilation of a couple Motor manual introductions, the Haynes Rochester Carburetor rebuild manual, the Doug Roe Rochester Carburetor book, and some stuff that I researched. Fuel economy standards enacted in 1978 forced the realization that smaller engines in downsized cars were a must.
