This is an AAR for Isengard on the Third Age Total War mod for M2TW Kingdoms. After sitting around on M2TW+RTW Heavengames forums I decided that I should actually contribute something to it. Since it's summer and there seems to be quite a lot of interest in this new mod I decided to write this AAR

I was playing Third Age:Total War, a very well made mod which is in my opinion far better than Medieval 2 itself. I was playing as Rohan, and after crushing Isengard and most of the Orcs of the Misty Mountains, was sending my forces east to help Gonder fight of Mordor. As luck would have it, my full stack
28 Oct 2013 8: Isengard: Isengard has a decent start economy, along with the most powerful starting units of any evil faction in the game, being able to recruit beserkers in the starting building roster. It's main weakness lies in it's position; it is literally surrounded by factions that are dying to destroy it (High Elves, Eriador,
25 Feb 2015 Best faction in Third Age MOS? Not just most powerful, but also most fun, dynamic units, most challenging and the one you had most fun playing. My first was Mordor (most powerful blah blah) but it was just amazing with Witch-king, and when Sauron returned just too much. Isengard is up there, managed
4 Jul 2013 Medieval II Total War was released in 2006. It is a turn based historical warfare game that also allows the player to control his/her units in real time battles. Since it's release however, there have been many mods for the Total War games. One such mod is The Third Age. This mod completely converts the

I would rate that at 8 or 9. I next tried Isengard and, again, that was tough. Rohan and Eriador swamped me and
I did pretty fine in Empire: total war and with the Jerusalem campaign in Medieval II but i can't figure this one out. Any help As High elves, you can expand quite a bit down the western coast before running into isengard. There are some guides for general building for M2 and specifically the TATW mod.
1 Sep 2010 Thankfully the orcs can keep the northern factions fairly busy, but this doesn't seem like a guarantee and hence Isengard feels really unprotected. Third is minor but still I guess I should just bring it up. I'm loving the pikes and berserkers (feels like berserkers actually make decent anti calv because of their
13 May 2014 Isengard, starting with only one city, and thus VERY few family members, is a unique challenge. It can be very tempting to rush Rohan - do not do this. Take Gineard and that little fort settlement in order to form a choke point, blockade it, and then just sit there. Build roads and economic buildings as early as
