I know this question is a bit out there, but please try and help any way you can. I am playing my first run with a knight. I want to be effective with a sword and shield combo, and I want to be some what quick with heavy armor. What type of stats should I invest in for this? I am more interested in doing damage with the sword, but
We're going to suggest a few builds that we found to be not only more than formidable in battle; but also quite a lot of fun to play with too (always a good combination). We've zero doubts any hardcore Dark Souls fans will have 'better' builds that come to mind, and that's cool.
I've found a "Paladin" type character to be a ton of fun to play, and even though I'm far from a Dark Souls master I've gone undefeated in PvP and hav. 3 years, 7 months ago. Paladins rock! I cleared DS1 and 2 with my own paladin build similar to this and it's always satisfying to chuck a lightning bolt into somebody's face!

Just started the game and put two of my level ups into Strength so I could use my Yellow Quartz Longsword effectively (Black Armor Edition) and take on the 7 Giants. Still have enough for one more level up though, but not sure where to put the point. Anyone have any suggestions for early game builds?

23 Mar 2014 Dark Souls 2 can be a very intimidating game, there is a lot of room for customization and just because of that there can be a lot of room for error.
