I tried to import a 3D pdf into solidworks and is says I need a more powerful version of adobe. Is there a none that I am aware of - you need the big adobe program to extract the 3D info. Perhaps you can open the 3D PDF as a U3D in the likes of blender or 3dstudiomax then export as an iges or similar.

Hi, I've got a 3D PDF file from the internet but I have no idea how to convert the 3D PDF file back to CAD. I have no idea what 3D software they used to create 3D PDF. Im using Sketchup pro, AutoCAD2007, and 3D max. Is that possible to convert 3D PDF format back to any CAD software? Thanks~ Nick.

1 Mar 2017 The publishing file format 3D PDF is not intended for backward conversions and importing to CAD applications. But if such PDF file contains U3D data (PRC B-rep), in some cases it can be convertible back to a 3D CAD model. For such conversion, you can use Adobe Acrobat 3D/Extended or e.g. the plugin

28 Aug 2010 Extract Model From 3d Pdf - posted in 3D skills and equipment: I created some 3d pdfs of models I had created in SW2009 and now would like to extract them to render etc for portfolio. I no longer work at the place where I modelled them so have no access to original cad files anyone help? cheers.
