I saw it with a few buddies and decided to pay the outrageous $12.50 price. Nevertheless, the movie actually delivered. The combination of Jonah hill and Channing Tatum worked very good together, and actually had me laughing for a good portion of the film. I was a bit hesitant about another comedy after watching that awful neighbors movie, but trust me 22 Jump Street is a great comedy, with some crushing one-liners as well as some built into the story line. I enjoyed the 21 Jump Street, but thought it had flaws that kept it from breaking that 8/10 barrier. All of those barriers were broken in the sequel. Go out and see this movie if you have the time, you won't be disappointed.22 jump street is the sequel to the surprise hit of the summer of 2012 where it 200 million world wide any who the plot is recycled from the first movie only with Tatum and Hill in college instead of high school with new characters and different situations the material again sinks the film but the chemistry between Tatum and hill saves the movie from being abysmal also the supporting performance from ice cube their hilarious if somewhat foul mouthed superior captain Dickson and overall i barely recommend this sequel i advise if u didn't like the first film but u liked the series then avoid this sequel but if u liked the first film and have or haven't seen the series then see it .It certainly provides that rarest of things: relaxing enjoyment. In all its uncompromising goofiness, 22 Jump Street brings onstream a sugar-rush of entertainment.Officers Morton Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Greg Jenko (Channing Tatum) are assigned to infiltrate a drug ring and catch the supplier at MCState College. Again posing as Doug and Brad McQuaid, Schmidt falls in with the Bohemian students and develops a relationship with art student Maya (Amber Stevens West) while Jenko finds a kindred spirit in Zook (Wyatt Russell), who woos him for the college football team. With their paths going in two different directions, Schmidt and Jenko begin to question their partnership. The film is a sequel to 21 Jump Street (2012) (2012), which is a sequel/reboot of the television series 21 Jump Street (1987) (1987-1991). The story and screenplay were written by Jonah Hill and American screenwriters Michael Bacall, Oren Uziel, and Rodney Rothman. Schmidt and Jenko make it to the roof where they find Ghost (Peter Stormare) attempting to escape in a helicopter. Jenko leaps upward and grabs onto the copter but finds it difficult to keep his hold with his wounded shoulder. In a supreme leap, Schmidt follows suit. Jenko loses his grip, but Schmidt grabs his arm, while the helicopter takes them both out over the water. Jenko manages to fish the grenade out of Schmidt's shorts and toss it into the helicopter, blowing it up, and they both fall into the water. Making their way back to shore, they agree that they still want to work together. Captain Dickson approaches them with the news that their next assignment is to go undercover in medical school. Greg shares the same last name as Captain Richard Jenko (Frederic Forrest). Richard Grieco makes a cameo appearance as Dennis Booker.
