July 2011
Rigmor Gustafsson quartet - YES I watched some jazz. Mostly because I think Rigmor looks really good. It was a lot of soloing but the song I saw was more blues actually. It wasn't as horrible as thoug
Timbuktu - I'm not a dance-music/hiphop-boy. I'll say something I REALLY like about him: he has a real band and it's all live. When I saw him for the first time he just had a guy playing records. It w
Bob Hund - They can't be bad. It's just impossible. Maybe it wasn't 100% but their 10% is better than everyone else's 200%. They added "Tralala lilla molntuss" to the set. Thank you!
The Sounds - I gave them praise when they played at Siesta, but this was even better. I can't think of anything bad about this show. Amazing songs and full energy!
Kristofer Åström - He combines the Kjellvander brothers. The americana of Christian and the melody of Gustaf. He seems like a nice guy too.
Henrik Berggren - The gig was similar to the one at Siesta. This time he had added Adam (Bad Cash Quartet, Hästpojken, Joel Alme and the last Broder Daniel-concert) and it was all for the better. Soo
Motoboy - It's been some years since I last saw him play. He gets into my heart every time. I want to see him again soon!!! "Early Grave" almost brought me to tears.
The Strokes - I didn't know what to expect. This was one of the best gigs of the festival! They have some really good songs. Go see them!
Soilwork - An example of the swedish melodic death-metal genre. I don't really get it. It hard and soft at the same time. It's wasn't good but it wasn't bad either.
Hoola Bandoola Band - Some old swedish guys playing music that old swedish guys like. I'm a fan of Mikael Wiehe but this was really uninteresting.
Radioaktiva Räker - Swedish punk-rock model A. 2/4-beat drums, melody-less singing, folkmusic influences.. They played two slower songs. They where good.
Bad Religion - I don't know why they are defined as punk-rock. Straight rock with some country-influences is what I hear. This was a lot more melodic than their swedish colleagues = better.
Säkert! - The greatest songs. There could be some more energy though. She had it the last time I saw Hello Safride. I suppose this band didn't push it that hard?
Bob Dylan - Well he's one of the most influential musicians, but this was all bad. I left after three songs. Bad singing and uninteresting country-songs.
Those Dancing Days - My friends got tired of hearing me talk about TDD before the show. Afterwards some of them labelled it "best show of the day". The drummer was a little out-of-beat. Other than tha
Journey - There aren't words to describe how good this was. I was in a state of total euphoria. Every band should get a new singer that sings better than the original one and has unlimited amounts of
Håkan Hellström - Well he's good but he's starting to annoy me. I don't like his show. The songs are good but he should play more old ones. (And change the playlist from time to time)
The closest I'll ever get to playing the big stage at Getaway Rock festival in Gävle. I was part of the building/wrecking crew..
The Unguided - Sonic Syndicate with just the screaming and no singing = even worse. If the singer in your band screams "show me some fucking hands!" it's a clear indication of that you music isn't tha
Panzerschreck - Looks: Take some random guys from the camping place. Sounds: Motörhead with growling. It wasn't very good.
