Nov 21, 2010 Cruise Missles is only units in Civ 5 that is maintenance free. Yes, they're free, u can spam them endlessly. Nor requires any special resources, feel free to build them in meh production cities to have a decent amount of them. The only annoyance is the rebasing problems in civ 5. I have the cruisers hold onto my guided missiles and the sub's hold mobile nukes. For me with sub's it's all about positioning and a quick strike. I don't use them too often for combat.

It can beat anything on the seven seas, and anything it can't beat, it can nuke. I build swarms of these in the end game and send them all out with nukes and cruise missiles.
