1 Dec 2009 Are they another clear coat that can be sprayed over the Deltron 2000 base coat? I have a fresh gallon of nason urethane select clear and activator I need to use, can I use the Nason urethane clear over the PPG? Don't worry, Normally I would NEVER even think about mixing paint brands, But in this case,
I'm spraying a project with PPG DMD1683 black DBC mixing base as a basecoat. PPG recommends their DBC bases be reduced 1:1 with the DT reducer. I've been told that PPG blacks in general are thinner and only require a 1:0.25 or 1:0.5 ratio, however I can't find any documentation to back this up.

9 Dec 2010 The DBC does NOT requre a activator/hardener. Directions spec'd a mixing ratio of 1:1 which I followed (other part being reducer). There is an OPTIONAL activator available (I would have got if I KNEW lol) which changes ratio (if added) to 1:1:5% (5% being activator). I sprayed a 2042 Concept clear, 4:1:1
