Momentary Life
How many of my kind have felt like this?
I am going to assume... many, if not all.
Remembering old days when my mind was drifting
Didn't quite know what I was doing
Didn't quite know my purpose
So came a time when all that changed
I now realize that almost all my life - I haven't really been living
I have just been... existing
As time went on I slowly gained more trust in myself
I finally found something meant for me
Finally, a reason to stick around
That something worth fighting for
So much energy put into this
I could never work so hard for the sheer fun of it
No, this is more than an interest
It's a feeling, one that can't be accessed in any other way
It's a kind of life
And now, when my path is finally shaping out, I feel it even more
I'd endure all the screams in the world
From all the planet's children
at the same time
If it gives me the chance to go back
I'd sacrifice anything - to whatever end -
to live in those moments forever
Feeling that momentary life
I'm about to become a glowing star
Just like they said I would
I'm a slave to music, slave to the rock
Let me live in those moments forever
I'm a slave to the feeling
Let me live and die on the stage!
