A middle school boy tries to keep his esper powers under control while attempting to live a normal life.
Kageyama Shigeo (a.k.a."Mob")is a 8th grader with psychic abilities.He could bend spoon and lift each objects with his mind from young age, but he slowly begin to withhold from using his ability on public due to the negative attention he keep receiving.Now, the only thing he wants is to become a friend with a girl in his class, Tsubomi. With his psychic"mentor"( who has no psychic power), he continues his daily lifes, attempting to realize his purpose on life.
The reason why One Punch Man (Creator ONE's other work) is regarded so highly is due to its concept, but rather than featuring a high amount of substance it opts for the comedic route (which is great, but can often lead to the desire for something more). Well, Mob Psycho 100 is here and offers a masterful mix of both comedy and substance while still featuring an amazing concept. This is fast becoming one of my new favourite anime series, with rich characters and deep development. The story also asks some deep questions about the nature of humanity and the meaning of power in a persons life. It is also incredibly faithful to the manga with the minor changes actually improving the flow of the story. I'll admit though, giving the series a 10 may have been a bit bias as I personally love the show, there are some parts which can, however put people off and I feel as though such an odd show risks having a niche audience. Hopefully the series will continue to be as great as it has been.
Get ready to be inspired, mesmerised and thoroughly entertained by the most visually and musically satisfying show that's not only gonna tickle your funny bone but make you fall in love with the extraordinarily ordinary leading character Mob, who is relatable on so many levels. If you're looking to laugh your ass off and not be able to take your eyes off of the screen and be unable to switch off an infectious intro and outro from playing in your head, this show is for YOU.
