Hudson Hawk is plain dumb, the acting is pretty mediocre and over the top and the action is goofy as hell but in a weird way besides all those bad things good things come out as well for example the jokes do land most of the time, the action is handled well and it's funny as well. This is the perfect example of a turn off your brain kind of film and it honors all those stupid movies from the 90's really well like Batman Forever and Batman and Robin or even Mr. Magoo this is nowhere near in the best movies that Bruce Willis has ever made but comparing to all those new crappy action movies he star in just to get that paycheck this one is a Masterpiece for sure i give it a 7.5/10I have watched this flick at least 30 times. I can recite it almost verbatim.
I also realize that I am relatively alone in my feelings for this movie. My wife reminds me of that all the time.
The humor in this flick probably doesn't appeal to most people, because they like to be spoon-fed humor. Slapstick and punny humor is far too refined for most.
I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for (this movie).

The director's commentary on the DVD is great if you're a fan of the film.Merely airheaded where it should be lighthearted, Hudson Hawk offers a klutzy, charmless hero, and wallows dully in limp slapstick and lowest common denominator crudeness.Pick up a copy of co-star Richard E. Grant's book "With Nails: the film diaries of Richard E Grant". There's a section about Bruce Willis and Hudson Hawk.
