Follows the life of an average hero who manages to win all of his punches with one punch! This ends up being the cause of a lot of frustration as he no longer feels the thrill and adrenaline of fighting a tough battle. Maybe all of his rigorous training to become strong wasn't worth it. After all, what's so good about having an overwhelming power?
The story of Saitama, a hero that does it just for fun & can defeat his enemies with a single punch.
I don't get why this has such a high rating or why it so hyped. It's not funny, it's not interesting and the artwork is not as great as they say it is. I was really hoping for something better. The humor would only appeal to an 8 year old at best and the main character really doesn't have much of a personality.
Manages to balance depth and humor perfectly. Just pure amazing. It is difficult to say much without spoiling anything, so I will keep it brief, but this show is yes, a parody. It makes fun of the typical sequence of events that occur in 99% of fighting shows. But any idea of normality is turned on its head here. Instead of watching a show about some guy who has a great gift building himself up in power, magically acquiring a under dressed girl in the process, this show is about a guy who already is the most powerful, who is bored, and who no one acknowledges. The plot sounds stupid, yes, but it is well executed, and its impressive how such deep meaning was created out of something that was originally meant to be a joke.
