We're already in the thick of competition season and you've been practicing your routines so often, cleaning and repeating 'one more time' you almost know them backwards. But what happens if you forget a part of your routine on stage?
Many dancers make mistakes during their performances, but most observers don’t notice. The reason these errors go undetected is because the performers don’t show it in their faces or bodies. They just keep straight faces or keep smiling if they misstep or forget a move. They keep on dancing as if nothing went wrong. If you mess up on stage, try to remember not to laugh, make a face or freeze, just keep going and play it off like you meant to do it!
