This game revolves around a protagonist Bayek of Siwa who seeks revenge for his sons death.He wishes that murdering the killer will bring his son's souls to peace.While the act of uncovering the plot Bayek takes assistance of some great historical figures like Caesar , Cleopatra and helping them to attain the throne with the help of his wife Aya.Between these includes an heavy act of drama,sympathy and heroism.And finally gets what they fought for and with the beginning of Assassins Creed Brotherhood from where other series of this franchise Begins.
A prequel to the Assassin's Creed Franchise set in Egypt from 48 BC where Bayek, a Medjay, begins the foundation of the Assassin's Brotherhood.
While i appreciate the change in formula for assasins creed and i love the new witcher style of gameplay the story is criminally boring which feels impossible given the amazing setting which is practically bursting at the seams with historical locations such as alexanders tomb which are a joy and privilege to explore. My main issue however is not In the gameplay itself it is with the story which rewards your hours of gameplay and levelling up with bayek... By forcing you to play as aya. It feels like a slap in the face to the hours you've put into the game and it forces you to play as aya at the most important point. the ending where you take part in and witness the assassination of julius caesar but prefacing this is possibly the hardest boss in the game which you have to beat with ayas shocking weapons and skills.the worst thing about this is the fact that after this it completely abandons bayek and makes aya the main character in the story leaving bayek unremembered to history leaving your hours of gameplay utterly POINTLESS!!
This game probably saved the whole Assassin's Creed franchise. I've played all the games, and out of all of them, this one is probably the best one yet. There is so much game play, and the map is so much bigger, than in the older games. The time setting is also amazing, and Bayek is an amazing character to play as. They really outdid them self with this game, even though Assassin's Creed fell a bit behind, after some failures, i believe this game just pulled them back. Overall 10/10, and 100% recommended.
