how to overclock 6950
TriXX is a nice utility though, makes overclocking your 6950 fairly easy. Just don't get greedy & remember to adjust your fan control from Auto to 50% or 60% while gaming (from my experience anyway). I don't have the exact same card as I have the Sapphire Toxic 6950 but my settings I stopped with are
Hi, I have an unlocked Sapphire 6950 that I would like to overclock to 6970's frequencies (from 800/1250 to 880/1375). After some tests with You must bump GPU voltage from 1.1V to 1.175V. Your card does not want to work with 880MHz clock, because HD6970 uses 1.175V for this clock to be stable.
I'm using a Diamond 6950 2GB reference card at the moment for overclocking, and it's been truly exceptional. I have been able to push this particular card to 1Ghz with the stock reference cooler and it hasn't gone past 57c while running normal benchmarks & games. Here are the settings I'm currently
so I have a Gigabyte ATi Radeon HD 6950 2GB and want to see if I can squeeze a bit more performance out of it but I don't want to unlock it as I dont want to screw the card up. so I was wondering what.

13 Dec 2012 Overclocking amd radeon hd 6950. So thats my current video card. A while back, I downloaded MSI afterburner. When I went to edit my values, they would not go past the factory allowable overclock settings that were in the Catalyst Control Center which are 840/1350 mhz respectively. Now, I remember
24 Jun 2011 PowerColor HD 6950 (w/HD 6970 BIOS) - 915/1550. None of these were given more than stock voltage. I made sure the power/voltage slider in CCC was at +20% though. I would not recommend these clocks for every day OC, but for benching and fun, feel free to push these cards. Just watch the temps.
12 Jun 2011 I am curious as i'm running 900 / 1400 @ 1.16v but i have seen others claiming they have 950 / 1450 on stock voltage! I know it My System: PowerColor HD6950 900 / 1400 @ 1.16v UNLOCKED SHADERS Haven't messed with voltage excessively since the card already breaks 90C in Furmark as it is.
I can't seem to unlock the voltage. I do have the reference Powercolor Radeon HD 6950. Should I have unlocked it before I flashed the bios? I am using MSI Afterburner. I've always used CCC in the past and am new to overclocking so I don't know if I'm doing it right. I go into MSI AfterBurner settings and
