The 2nd edition of the Bonaire Snorkeling Guide eBook comes from our extensive in the water experience snorkeling this wonderful island. Our honest approach will help you steer clear of the many reefs that have been destroyed from storms, and get you to the many fantastic spots still full of life.
This is an older book, but still the best one I've read for the dive sites on Bonaire. My husband and I own a vacation home on Bonaire, and use this constantly. Although there are new dive sites added since the time it was written, it covers most of them and has invaluable information. If you are diving Bonaire, buy this book!
Dividing Bonaire into four sections - South, Klein Bonaire, North and Washington Park - this guide details 40 dive sites. Each dive is discussed in depth with information on depth and visibility, required expertise, bottom terrain, currents, marine life, safety, and local dive shops and charters.
BSDME comes highly recommended on TA, but as far as I understand it was written for divers with snorkeling added in. Bonaire guide was written by snorkelers for snorkelers, with up to date info. Located to the north of Venezuela, Bonaire is a paradise for divers and snorkelers of all levels. This guide describes the best sites to explore, from beautiful reefs to sunken wrecks. In This Guide: Detailed dive information to 92 sites. Insipiring full-color photos throughout. Easy-to-read maps of dive regions. Guide to marine

Answer 1 of 13: I'm looking for opinions about two different snorkel guides. One is a book and the other is an e-book. The e-book looks impressive from the website description, but I've seen the book recommended on here many times. If you recommend the

Many of our dive sites have great snorkeling too. Below is a quick description of some of these sites on Bonaire and Klein Bonaire with the snorkeler in mind. Look at the Bonaire Dive and Snorkel Map to see where the sites mention below are located.
With the wonderful photography and great overall general information on Bonaire, this book us a very useful pre-trip planner. It also makes a terrific pocket guide to take along to all the shore dive sites around the island. The site names and indexing agrees with the local site markings and the dive descriptions are right-on!
