Look, i get it, it's mainly a kids mov- oh wait! it isn't.
This piece of ''film'' is basically just the first Iron Man, but toned down to all living hell and beaten with a club just to bump out the things that would've made it at least watchable, the story is predictable, nothing stands out from the movie, the only thing that stands out is the special effects, but even those are pretty mediocre.
The story is super simple, Hollywood bullshit that is so predictable that it makes The Hulk movie look good.
In conclusion, this film is a crap knock off version of Iron Man (2008), go watch that instead, you're better off with the Marvel or DC films if you want good superhero movies.
. . . STEEL was Snuck into the Multiplexes long after its expiration date, no doubt pushed back and forgotten in an obscure cranny of the toy shelf since the 1900s or so. Mattel Megacorp.'s flick is about soap bubbles as much as it features its title toy. With this misfiring flop breaking into the Domestic Box Office Top Twelve (that is, 11th place) with a whopping gross of $2 million its opening week, Americans can expect to see COLORFORMS: THE MOVIE; LINCOLN LOGS LIVE ON; FANTASIES FROM FRISBEE; and TINKER TOY STORY opening on our Big Screens any day now. MAX STEEL's plot is so convoluted, its Exposition so spotty, and its acting so lame that viewers will be totally lost unless they've committed the whole book series to memory. Oh no, that's right--THERE IS NO BOOK SERIES. Consequently, we're all doomed. Fortunately, the MAX STEEL audience at my showing was treated to the trailer for ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY. Keeping that in mind, all of those who walked out halfway through the MAX STEEL feature cannot honestly claim that their admission price was totally wasted.
A movie based on a toy should be a whole lot more fun than this.
