Rinse your favourite seeds, beans or lentils and put them into the jar. You don't have to pre-soak them, although they will sprout quicker if you do. Screw the lid on. Take a saucer or small plate and balance the jar on its end, on the green flap, so that its facing downwards.

Place the seeds in the jar and soak overnight, then rinse and drain twice daily. Tip the jar and allow it to rest on the green foot to drain the water. Your sprouts will be ready to eat after 4-8 days, depending on the variety.
I love this germinator jar! It's truly excellent and it works very easily. My only qualm I would say is that the lid is plastic and doesn't seem like it is very strong so I personally do not drain it in the way stated in the directions (by propping it on the handle) but by holding the jar at an angle myself over the sink.
