the beginning was an excellent starter . hey this is going to be good the 3rd person view was well staged and amusing then it went down hill we have all seen the office manager hassle bit a billion times relevance to movie nil perked up after that never explained how the woman got his book ever ! went to pool hall saw his Italian mate instantly we all knew he was the ghost after that it was cliché after cliché after cliché even the so called female lead was pathetic just appeared out of no where make up Kevin was always immaculately shaved woman amazing make up clothes never got dirty when Kevin got shot the exit bullet hole in the back of his jacket would have been enough to kill him where ever he went his clothes fitted him like a glove the banquet the guy looking scary with a snake on his neck and a known criminal just waltzed around i had to keep pinching my self to remind me that this is a comedy final scene jumps out of helicopter lands OK on a road middle of no where el presidency miraculously arrives the the ghost appears what the hell is going on !!!!!!!!!!!!!! don't bother wasting your money don't even hire it out the clothing soldiers in jungle must have gone to a run down surplus store i counted 14 people in this army there was a road leading to the compound for hells sake the leader looked like somebody out a 40,s Tarzan movie but they acted better his boots were gleaming !!!!! lets gloss over the stupid CIA involvement don't even go there the fight in the embassy . no clothes got ripped the guests just looked on i guess they were thinking lets get the money and legged it from this movie
The "International Assassin" of the title is actually an aspiring writer of pulp fiction, who is mistaken for his intrepid alter-ego by South American rebels. It's an engaging, if not very original premise.

After a fairly clever opening sequence, the plot accelerates, and before long runs right off the rails, and plows into Stupidville, with a series of improbable comic escapades...minus the laughs.

I'll give "True Memoirs of an International Assassin" a couple of points for jungle scenery, a few low level chuckles, and the appealing Zulay Henao as a kick-ass female freedom fighter.

I didn't have high expectations for this straight to Netflix offering, but even in the crowded field of mindless brain fodder, this one's a dud.
True Memoirs is harmless, disposable junk food that has just enough laughs to make you feel like you didn’t get scammed.
