introducing: halloween! ^^
this is the pumpkinday! :P
this is the day when you prepare the last decorations - just like the night before christmas; when you put the presents under the tree and put new candles in every candlestick, prep. the stockings and make sure that everything is in it's place.. - ergo: the pumpkins!
..we call it the next best day of the year! ^^
'cause the best day is obviously halloween itself :P, but sometimes i wonder if this isn't the greater day after all.. 'cause.. just like new year's eve, everyone has these silly expectations on halloween. and if it doesn't live up to that, which is almost impossible :P (at least in my world - two word: Harry Potter (and the sorcerer's stone)! ^^), it always feels like a failure.
the 30 oct is aaall about these expectations - and it's after all the dreams and hopes that are fun, that we live for. that i live for.
i love the day before The Day, the "little yule eve" of halloween ^^, and to be in the middle of all my preparations!
where i can dream of the perfect party, that hopefully will happen. eventually. ;P
