Det finns minst en speciell person i varje mindre stad. körandes runt i sin Volvo 740 eller så syns han vanligtvis i en Volvo 940 eller Volvo 240. Sladdandes runt korvkiosken, hängandes vid busstorget, ståendes vid macken med öppen huv eller kryssandes fram och tillbaka längs genomfartsleden. Alltid med basen pumpandes och med Wounderbaumdoften som en osynlig svans efter bilen. Många tycker att denna person är en tönt som borde växa upp, det tycker inte jag! Jag tycker att detta är den lokala hjälten, för utan det inslaget vore stadsbilden oftast helt död efter att butikerna stängt och folk gått hem från jobbet på fredagen. Fenomenet har pågått så länge det har funnits bilar, på 70 talet jänkare med hissad bakdel och bird-catcher, på 80 talet med Amazoner med gangsterkeps och rävsvans i antennen. Dessa bilar har bara bytats ut mot modernare fordon, brölet från dubbla Weber 45:or har bara bytts ut mot dumpventilspys. Småstadens puls upprätthålls av dessa hjältar! Nästa gång din lokala hjälte sladdar runt i rondellen, Spotta ej på han utan ge tummen upp istället VÄRNA...
