What I've seen with valve seat cutting like done on a seat cutting machine that does a 3 angle cut is that it pockets the seat and buries the valve down into the head, just to .. My solution in the end was to ream them with a carbide 0.311 reamer then take off another 1/2 thou with a ball hone. Clumsy . The engineers at Kibblewhite were thoughtful enough to make the exhaust valve .0005" smaller than the intake so that both guides can be finished at .3115" to achieve these clearances.
