16 Feb 2016 Whether you bought a magazine with one glued to the front, or found a kit online, the chances are you're now the proud owner of a $5 computer: the Raspberry Pi Zero.
2 Feb 2016 Insert the mini HDMI end of the cable into the mini HDMI port on the Raspberry PI Zero and the HDMI cable into a HDMI socket on a monitor or TV as shown by the image below. At the HDMI port end of the Raspberry PI Zero is a slot for the micro SD card. Insert it as far as it goes into the slot.
NOOBS Setup. To get started with Raspberry Pi, you need an operating system. NOOBS (New Out Of Box Software) is an easy operating system install manager for the Raspberry Pi. For older models of Raspberry Pi, you'll need a full-size SD card; for the Pi Zero, A+, B+, Pi 2 and Pi 3 you'll need a micro SD card.
Monitor. To attach the Pi Zero to a Monitor or TV that has an HDMI input, attach a miniHDMI to HDMI cable or adapter to the miniHDMI connector on the Pi Zero. Connect the USB OTG cable to the Pi Zero via the microUSB connector. Make sure that you have a valid Raspberry Pi image on your microSD card (more on this later)
