21 Jan 2015 Dear dpreview fella,. With focus peaking and magnification, A7 series supports a lot for MF. It makes MF on A7 series more joyful and excitement. After couple months with A7ii, I used MF 80% of times and try to be used to the camera. But still, there is a struggle I met, slowness. I missed a lot of moments
5 Dec 2017 Image stabilizers are handy but manual lenses don't have them. If you use a Sony a7/a7s/a7r you have to carry a tripod more often and achieving focus with longer lenses is a bit harder. Newer Sony cameras like the Sony a7ii or a7rii feature an integrated image stabilizer which works with manual lenses!
