After reading some reviews I was surprised at how strong the magnet is. This will help me learn how to feed fabric straight, as my straight line came out a bit angled. When I used the tool that improved. It won't move untill you drag it off your machine. I am new to sewing, these are my first stitches and are in no way indicative

I continued reading up on the topic on message boards, reviews and the Brother website. Brother actually offers a seam guide (happy!), but it's not compatible with
24 Jan 2012 I came across a felling foot, which is made for making flat felled seams (check out www.youtube.com/watch?v=3s9-IpU-csw for proper use). I started using a magnetic seam guide just a few days ago. The foot came a day after. I used them both today and I was able to create a perfect rolled hem.
