18 Jul 2014 i finally have the funds to upgrade my good old watersnake (which has been great and not let me down for about 2 years now). i always intended to upgrade to an Ipilot minn kota, but have the xi5 motorguide as an option now. i have no hands on experience with the Ipilot so truthfully would now no
17 May 2016 Motorguide xi5/pinpoint problems. Brand new out of the box. This is my second one, so I'm familiar with how it operates. It works fine except for 2 things: 1) The battery light is red all the time. 2) When in spot lock, it constantly twists back and forth. Constantly. You can see in the video.

36V 60' Xi5 w/pinpoint. 12' HDS Gen2 Touch. 4.0 Software. Had my new one out for the first time today. I've noticed the touch screen unresponsive at times (Locked Up). That was easy. Just jump in and out of pages. Easy fix. ButAlso in autopilot it just ramped up to wide open for some reason? Anyone

I guess the biggest disappointment is that the Motor Guide service tech wanted me to go back on the water and trouble shoot the problem for him.
