LOVE IN SNOW »kisses in the dark PART FIVE Every day got the same. At first: being in school, where life was as a hell. As fast as it seemed as if he would get alone with Jin somewhere, Junno ran away as fast as he could. That Koki had the time of his life scaring the shit outta him, because he seemed to find it very, very amusing. The Ueda-girl had totally ignored Junno since the day she stumbled into the class room when he and Jin were there. She actually got mocked even more by time. Ah, and second: getting away from school as fast as he could to get home and leave his bag, before waiting for Tatsuya at the basketball ground in the woods. Man, he still hadn’t really seen the boy’s face, and he loved him anyway. Not that he didn’t try; he actually asked Tatsuya every time they met if he could be able to meet that face and know it yet… but Tatsuya was very shy at that point. So, one day when he waited for the school day to end, something really unexpected happened. Junno sat in his corner, staring through the windows (the ones that’s between the classroom and the corridor, and the ones between inside and outside in the corridor) on the cold, grey city. No snow fell. Something was wrong with the world. It was lunch, but he’d already eaten what he brought to school, and he had nothing to do. In front of him, some girls chatted about the latest news in their girly girly world. He had no interest in what they were speaking of. Ueda was no where to be seen, but if she were she probably should’ve been alone anyway, sitting behind Jin’s desk. Jin seemed happy to see she wasn’t there - he was in the deepest whispering discussion ever with Kazuya. Junno realized he’d changed his way of staring from the window to the both beauties, so he turned his head back to the corridor again. And saw Ueda come with her lunch box; she was slowly walking towards the classroom’s door, as if she didn’t want to be seen. “Oh no”, he mumbled to himself and shut his eyes, pretending not to hear. He knew exactly what would come. “Look, there’s Ueda!” “Hey Ueda, you’ve been throwing away that nasty food of yours yet?” “Hope no animals will eat it, they’ll die…” “You made it yourself? I hope you did, or else you’ve got a poor shit of a mother…” “Shut up. SHUT UP!” The voice made everybody jump, but not as much as Maru already had. He stood in front of poor Ueda, as if he protected her, and his face was red of anger. “Why you keep doing this?!” he screamed at them. “Don’t you get you’re not funny?” He turned around and took Ueda’s hand. “Come”, he whispered. “Let’s eat somewhere else.” She nodded and joined him out, but the silence broke before they had the time to get far away. “Look, Ueda’s got a boyfriend!” Kazuya shouted. Jin laughed with him, making the class laugh as well. Junno kept quiet, the only one in the classroom who wasn’t laughing. Oh man, how bullied Maru would get from now on.
