FM Hyseni reminded the world about Serbia's genocidal crimes committed in Kosovo, Bosnia and Croatia where Serbian military forces murdered over a quarter of a million people and ethnically cleansed over 4 million in the territory of former Yugoslavia.
"I am not an attorney and I do not like to judge anyone. By listening to Tadic's speech, one would create an elusive opinion that Serbia is the victim of all the terrible wars that have occurred in the territory of the former Yugoslavia. If we listen to Tadic, we create an assumption that ten thousand Croats were not killed; 200,000 Muslims in Bosnia were not massacred and 2.5 million not ethnically cleansed; and 15 thousand Kosovar Albanians in Kosovo were not murdered and over 1 million ethnically cleansed."
Hyseni also spoke of Serbia's role on destroying Kosovo's rich religious heritage.
"Serbia's President failed to mention his country's past actions, such as the destruction of the Islamic culture in Kosovo, Mosques, Islamic libraries and madras’s. And, one must not forget the destruction of Catholic Churches in Kosovo and Croatia, shelled by Serbia's military forces."
Importantly, Serbia has never issued an apology for its atrocities committed in Kosovo.
"I'd like to recall some important issues regarding the events that occurred prior to the intervention of NATO forces to halt the genocide in Kosovo, committed by Serbia, such as the Recak massacre as well as the continuously repressive and colonialist attitudes of Tadic's Serbia towards Kosovo "
Nevertheless, Hyseni added that " Kosovo is interested to let go of the past and work for the future, but we [Kosovars] will never forget our past."
"My family, I, as well as every other Kosovar family have experienced the terror of the Serbia military and police forces. The crime is committed by the state of Serbia," concluded, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Skender Hyseni.
