This was created to help PizzaMan, and i thought, hey why not help out more people?!
Okey, here we go.
Download Paint.net GIMP or PhotoShop, or any other image editor that can handle layers and tranceperaccy, I recommend using Paint.net or Gimp because they're completly free, i personally recommend paint.net.
Now use WinRar/7Zip, or what you're using to open the minecraft.jar look after the particles.png, terrain.png, pack.png, pack.txt (I think it is.) and font.txt.
Go in to the texture packs folder by either going in minecraft, ''Mods and texture packs.'' click that thing.
(It's on the starter page.)
Then ''Open texture pack folder.''
Now create a .zip file, name it what you wan't you're texture pack to be named, then click enter to complete the creating of the .zip open the .zip with whatever program you're using, copy and paste, or simply drag the .png files and .txt files I mentioned earlier.
Now don't close the minecraft.jar look through every folder in the minecraft.jar if it has a .png in it, it should in the .zip file, when you're done with that, proceed to the next step.
Now open the terrain.png with Paint.NET/GIMP/PhotoShop/Whatever photo editing software you're using.
YOU CAN NOT USE WINDOWS PAINT!
Windows Paint will screw the terrain.png and all the other stuff, except skins over, so do NOT. use it.
Now edit every single texture to you're liking, the gray looking stone close to cobble in the terrain.png is the grass, It's gray because of biomes.
Now to upload it simply just drag it out on you're desktop and upload it using any uploading software, I strongly recommend mediafire.
Sincerely : Oliver.
