An innocent discovery of a well-preserved mummified Chinese Emperor from 200 B.C. unearths a two-thousand-year-old nightmare, a secret that should have remained buried.
I had no expectations for this movie when I sat down to watch it, and it turned out that I was more than pleasantly surprised because this turned out to be a very enjoyable action adventure.
I had some doubts about Kelsey Grammer in a movie such as this, but he really put those doubts to shame because he was so fitting for the role and really performed quite amazingly here and that was a nice and refreshing thing to see.
The action in the movie were great and in abundance and it was mixed up with just a hint of terror and horror with the ever-encroaching poisonous spiders.
The CGI in the movie was quite good and the spiders looked really great but I had trouble with the sounds that they were making. I think silence would have added so much more of a threatening element to those poisonous crawlers.
The cast in the movie was quite good, aside from Kelsey Grammer, then it was also nice to see talents such as Bingbing Li, Kellan Lutz and Chun Wu here.
"7 Guardians of the Tomb" is definitely worth taking the time to sit down and watch.
Decent movie. Kept reminding me of Arachnophobia, but not as good. I think it could have been better without Kelsey Grammar. He just didn't fit and threw the movie off when he appeared.
