Having trouble with recipients who can't read my documents. So if I send someone a PDF saved through OpenOffice, the file doesn't automatically open in the PDF reader--the person has to pick a program to open it Is it as an e-mail attachment or are you using a file sharing service (eg: dropbox)?
30 Mar 2016 Acrobat Reader is already a pretty useful app if you need to do more than just read a PDF on your phone. Now, however, the app supports Dropbox integration. So, if you have a PDF in your Dropbox folder—or, more importantly, if someone shares a PDF with you through Dropbox—you can edit it quickly
It is a Firefox settings issue. For Firefox 31.4.0, open the Options Dialog Box and then select the Applications tab. In the Content Type column select Portable Document PDF and then choose the action you desire.
If you're seeing the error message [file type] files can't be previewed, it's because Dropbox doesn't recognize the file type. Dropbox supports Adobe Illustrator: 144 MB; Microsoft Word: 160 MB; Microsoft PowerPoint: 288 MB; Microsoft Excel: 40 MB; PDF: 80 MB; Photoshop and .tiff: 200 MB; Text and code: 4 MB. Solution:.
I would like to open/move/copy my files in DropBox to my "Local" folder on Adobe Reader on the iPad so that I can view my files on the road outside of internet range. Not sure what subscribing would add in features but I do know my staff is not paying $25 a month for what they have for free in PDF Expert.
I'm not sure I understand what that means, but I get the idea that you can't display PDF's on the Dropbox website in Safari. From the Safari menu bar, Unless I'm much mistaken, we've established that Safari has no trouble displaying PDF's as long as they're not hosted on Dropbox. So there's no question
Hi Jack,. Are you trying to open the PDF on a desktop or mobile devise? Do you have Acrobat, Adobe Reader, or some other PDF viewer and what version? If I switch to compatibility view the PDF fle is shown in the dropbox window. All other If that doesn't fix the issue, then I would suggest you to reset Internet Explorer settings and then check if you are able to access PDF file from Dropbox. After a reset, all previous settings are lost and can't be recovered.
Is there an app that will let me view 3d .pdf's on handheld device that are stored on the cloud?
