Aussie adventurer Steve Irwin - a.k.a. "The Crocodile Hunter" is out to save a gorgeous croc and relocate him. What The Steve doesn't know is that the Crocodile has innocently swallowed a top secret U.S. satellite beacon, and some CIA agents sent to retrieve it. Steve mistakes the CIA agents for poachers and sets out to stop them from capturing the Crocodile.
Aussie adventurer Steve Irwin aka The Crocodile Hunter has avoided the death-roll and nabbed another feisty croc, hoping to save it from poachers. What Steve doesn't know is that the crocodile has innocently swallowed a top secret US satellite beacon, and the poachers are actually American special agents sent to retrieve it. Crikey! In the Outback and through the bush with his wife Terri's ever-present commentary ringing out over the countryside ("That was a close one, Steve!"), the Crocodile Hunter is out to save the gorgeous croc and relocate him. It won't be easy, but if he can handle bird-eating spiders and venomous snakes without getting bitten, gun-wielding agents shouldn't be too much of a problem.
I went into my local cinema not expecting much from this, although being a fan of the Crocodile Dundee movies and Steve Irwin's show I decided to give it a go. I was also aware that many small screen shows have failed miserably when transferred to a big screen movie.
This really is an enjoyable movie. Load up on popcorn and your favourite soft drink and enjoy the ride.
As a fan of Steve Irwin, I was quick to get this movie as soon as I could, and even as a Kid I loved it. It is hilarious, and it sticks to the great and lovable guy that we all loved, Steve Irwin (Moment of silence).......However for those who never saw the show, may want to freshen up on him before watching this feature film. Also of note, notice the Lion intro thing being replaced by a crocodile, the classic examples of conservative rural facing off against liberal laws of the land and large ladies being made fun of and locked up in various predicaments. Though, I have to wonder how a zoo keeper manages to frustrate two agents of the CIA anyway? IF your not a fan of Steve, then you may not find the film to be as enjoyable as it truly should be
So refreshing and funny and, in its way, sophisticated.
