AXEL MADE A SCULPTURE CALLED "MEMORY OF A BOY". ROB SAID: Cool stuff Axel, I definitely like Memory of a Boy the best although the poor guy looks like he's in agony. THEN I SAID: Hihi, would you prefer it if he was happy? AND ROB SAID: Why not? Why would I want to wish agony on any single being (fictional or not)? I SAID: You have a very friendly attitude, and I mean that as a compliment, but I believe this fictional creature has his reasons to be in agony, or perhaps even his very purpose is to make a point about said agony. One must be cautious to carry a wish for everyone to be happy, it is known to cause the opposite. For instance, I witnessed a scene in the dining-room of my school a few weeks ago that greatly fueled my cynicism; a teacher noticed that a teenage girl in the queue had a very sad look on her face, and in an act that was probably meant to be helpful he said something along the lines of "Why the sad face? Be happy!", giving her a manufactured smile and then continuing with whatever he was doing. The girl answered politely with a faint smile, but as he turned away and proceeded towards the table she looked even sadder than before, about to cry almost. Saying something like that to someone who's depressed, or in agony for that matter, is fucking evil.
