It does sound to be fried but, you really don't have to replace it with the same exact model, look for an upgrade, I'm sure that manufacture and many others have one better. If it were my guitar, I would definitely think of it as upgrade time. The pickup is probably ok knowing that it can handle heat better due to

Help with a Takamine TP4T Tuner General Acoustic Guitar Discussion. I have a Takamine G260 with built in TP4T pre-amp and tuner. The tuner does not seem to I have tuned it manually with the help of an external tuner as close as I can but the TP4T just does not behave like in the video. All I get are
