I have two Lee production pots, they will easily heat to 850, I normally cast at 750 and have no problems keeping the temp up even when using a 6 cavity mold. I only cast With the new pot, I used the Permatex #133 as suggested in the instructions and I'm not dogged with the Lee leak some fellows have.

The flow control screw has been eliminated and we have re-designed the valve rod to also act as the flow control. 6 Dec 2009 I just opened my 10 pound Lee Production Pot. This is the bottom pour model that Midway had on sale for $44.95 recently. Anyway, the directions do not tell you what temp the variable knob thermostat will give. All it says is the high setting will stabilize at 900 deg and the low at 450 deg. It also says to cast at
