Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) have been shown to increase the risk of bleeding from diverticular disease, with over 50% of patients with bleeding diverticula receiving NSAID treatment at the time of presentation. Angiodysplasia accounts for 20–30% of lower intestinal bleeding.
