Original Title: IE10 in windows 8 desktop version In my new windows 8 laptop, I can view the .pdf files in IE10 while using metro application. the advance tab in IE10 options uncheck the box for Enable Enhanced Protected Mode and you should be able to open .pdf files from within the IE10 browser.
