28 May 2004 This document explains how to use truetype fonts with tex, latex, dvipdfm, dvipdfmx, pdftex, and pdflatex. Copy the following font files from "c:windowsfonts" to the current working directory: trebuc.ttf, trebucit.ttf, trebucbd.ttf, and trebucbi.ttf. Go to "c:texmfdvipdfmconfig" and open dvipdfmx.cfg file.

6 Nov 2016 I don't even see the miktex-dvipdfmx executable accessing the dvipdfm.map, just looking at the HKCUSoftwareMiKTeX.orgMiKTeX2.9ft.map registry entry in Windows, and then parsing the CFG file and loading the hfbright.map file. Is there a switch or configuration option to dvipdfmx I am missing?

27 Jun 2007 Now that "MiKTeX 2.6" installs itself into "Program FilesMiKTeX 2.6", when I run dvipdfm or dvipdfmx I get errors when the programs try to execute mgs with an I'm using Windows XP. I would recommend that you remove all config files and run the update wizard to recreate the default Dvipdfm config file.
