3 Jul 2017 In order to use the internal PDF viewer, Acrobat should not be selected in the drop-down described and (perhaps) even uninstalled. The Acrobat plugin however is a) a 32-bit plugin that's not recognized by the 64-bit version, and b) a NPAPI plugin and should no longer work in Firefox 52+ releases - see

24 Feb 2016 Many PDFs are only displaying images and some text using the built in viewer in Firefox 44.0.2 on A MacBook Pro running OS X 10.9.5. This appears to be something that has only happened in the latest updates of Firefox. Example of one that DOES NOT display well in Firefox:
29 Jun 2016 Before I refreshed it, it used the native viewer to preview PDFs in the browser. Now that option is not even available. I went into about:config and saw the the pdf.js function was disabled, so I enabled it. That didn't work. Nothing works. Please tell me how to fix this. I work very hard on time sensitive projects
