A boy and a girl
stood in an empty park.
The sun was setting
and it was getting pretty dark.
They stared at each other
and suddenly the boy laughed.
The girl screamed for her mother
but the boy just laughed, and laughed, and-
"Why are you laughing!?"
the girl screamed in despair.
The boy stopped laughing,
"Because you've got red hair."
The girl started crying
and the boy cocked his head.
"I was only joking,
my favourite colour is red."
The girl stopped sniffling
and looked at the boy.
Her stare was so stiffling
that he felt like a shiny new toy.
She took a step towards him
and looked very much alive.
But it was something about her
making her look older than five.
"You're beautiful"
he said too fast.
"That's only bull"
and she was right in front of him at last.
"Amanda!" someone called from behind.
The girl stared at the boy in fear.
"Call me. Can you be so kind?"
"I don't know, maybe next year."
The girl was surprised
by the boys rudeness.
Suddenly the sun rised
and the boy filled with worryness.
"Goodbye" the girl whispered
tears streaking her cheeks.
The boy uncomfortably fidgetted
tears now prickling his cheeks.
The girl took of a run
under the shining sun.
The boy couldn't see straight,
he couldn't let go!
He couldn't see her go!
But off she went
out of this empty park.
Where the sun is still shining
and you can feel that real love-spark
